About CCRC

Staff

The CCRC is an independent agency comprised of five staff.

Jinwoo Charles Park was appointed Executive Director of the CCRC on April 5, 2022. Mr. Park is responsible for all aspects of the agency’s operations and legal work, and reviews legal and policy recommendations and memoranda issued by CCRC staff. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Park served as a Senior Attorney Advisor for the CCRC and assisted in drafting many provisions included in the Revised Criminal Code Act of 2021. He was the lead attorney in formulating revisions of numerous offenses including murder, manslaughter, kidnapping and robbery. Prior to joining the CCRC, Mr. Park served as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Phyllis D. Thompson, an Associate Judge of the DC Court of Appeals, and the Honorable Judge Florence Y. Pan, then an Associate Judge of the DC Superior Court. Before these clerkships, Mr. Park practiced civil rights litigation, focusing on employment discrimination and wage and hour cases.  

Mr. Park received his BA in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004, and his JD from Georgetown University Law Center in 2008. He was born and raised in New Jersey, but has resided in the District of Columbia for more than 15 years. He currently lives in Ward 3 with his wife and two children.
