This Report and the accompanying Appendices consolidate and update prior recommendations and draft bills concerning the District’s criminal statutes that were developed by the D.C. Sentencing Commission (Sentencing Commission). In September 2015, the Sentencing Commission unanimously approved and submitted to the Council and Mayor recommendations and several corresponding draft bills that would amend various criminal statutes and enable the adoption of Title 22 as an enacted title of the D.C. Code.
